HOMELESS

He is looking for his marbles,
He is searching everywhere.
Everybody has some troubles,
And he sure had his share.

In this world of hardship,
He is looking for a home.
He cannot seem to find it,
Wherever he does roam.

He grew up in the projects,
He struggled all his life.
Once he had some prospects,
He had children and a wife.

Now he has a low down feeling,
About how the cards were dealt.
In his day, he did the dealing,
And he remembers how it felt.

Along came the big recession,
He lost his job and family.
He fell into a deep depression,
After the divorce decree.

His luck ran out a long time ago,
And he is really not to blame.
He lost his home and had to go,
Lost his marbles, then the game.
